The El Segundo Recreation & Parks Department is proud to announce and invite you to the Annual Hometown Fair & Carnival on Saturday, May 4th from 10 am-3 pm on Main Street at Library Park. The fair will include games & food from school & activity groups, local entertainment, rides, community groups and more!
All-Access ride wristbands are currently on pre-sale for $8 at the Checkout or Clubhouse buildings at Recreation Park. Wristbands will be $10 day of the event.
There will be a 65-foot pirate obstacle course, a mechanical bull, 25-foot slide, a rock climbing wall and more! The Annual Bake-Off will take place in the gazebo in Library Park. This year’s categories are Petit Desserts & Cookies, Bread, Rolls & Muffins, and last but not least, Cakes & Pies! Last year, our sweepstakes winner (best overall) was a wonderfully-baked traditional bread. Other highlights from the Bake-Off included strawberry cupcakes from a mother & daughter duo, peanut butter cookies and all kinds of delicious pies! Entries are accepted from 10am-11am and can be delivered to the gazebo on the day of the event.
A variety of vendors will be selling one-of-a-kind handmade crafts, while the El Segundo Police Department and El Segundo non-profit groups will participate in the event to provide information about their organizations and programs. The Rotary Club will be having their Annual Duck Drop that benefits local programs and groups. The Duck Drop will happen near the Showmobile at 2:00 pm, and winners will be announced at 2:30 pm. There will also be Hula-Hoop and paper airplane toss contests.
We hope to see you there!
