Choice Employer and Work Force
The City has adopted a strategic plan with five main goals, one of which is to develop as a choice employer and workforce. This means that we want to be successful at hiring and retaining the best people possible to serve the needs of the City of El Segundo.
During the coming weeks, we will be conducting a City-wide employee survey. The purpose of this survey is to get a better understanding of employee morale, satisfaction, and engagement at the City of El Segundo. Your opinions are important to us, and this survey is your chance to express those opinions.
We will use the survey results for three purposes:
- To Learn and benefit from the perspectives and insights of all employees;
- To Identify opportunities for improvement and what we are doing well;
- To Fix problems and/or processes that demotivate people, compromise customer satisfaction, or diminish our abilities to provide outstanding service to the El Segundo Community.
In order to maintain the confidentiality of this process, we have contracted with an external consulting firm, DecisionWise, to administer the survey. We encourage you to be candid and honest in your responses; individual feedback will not be identified in any way.
You will receive follow up emails from Human Resources and DecisionWise with further details and instructions to participate in the employee survey. We would like to get 100% participation in order to ensure that each and every employee’s voice is heard. When you receive the survey request the week of January 16th, please give it your prompt attention.
