“My goal is to continue to contribute the quality of life and high-level of service to the El Segundo community until I retire.” -Anthony Hernandez
“Hello El Segundo!
With several very talented staff competing for the position, I am pleased to announce the promotion of Anthony Hernandez to Wastewater Leadworker.
Anthony started his career with the City of El Segundo over ten years ago. He has worked his way up from a part-time employee at Recreation and Parks to full-time in Public Works holding various roles, taking on growing responsibilities each time, and serving wherever he was needed.
As the Wastewater Leadworker, he has the dual role of planning and coordinating the installation, maintenance, repair and upkeep the City’s wastewater and storm drain systems while also executing the work himself. Anthony succeeds Ron Campbell, who was promoted to Wastewater Supervisor in December 2015.
“My goal is to continue to contribute the quality of life and high-level of service to the El Segundo community until I retire,” said Anthony. Anthony aspires to be a Director of Public Works, and to reach this dream he plans to go back to school and obtain his Bachelor’s in Public Administration.
