Pink Patch Project is Huge Success!!
The 2017 Pink Patch Project at the El Segundo Police Department was an enormous success. Coordinated by Police Assistant Amy McDaniel, and back by the El Segundo Police Officers Association, uniformed members of the Police Department swapped out their normal shoulder patches for pink trimmed patches throughout the month of October, as a show of support for breast cancer research. Special events were held at Rock and Brews, Standard Station, California Pizza Kitchen, and even the Los Angeles County Fair, where members volunteered their time to sell t-shirts and patches to raise money for charity. This year, over $4000 was raised and donated to the non-profit organization Helen’s Room, a Positive Appearance and Resource Center for Cancer Patients.
