Report re: City eNews Survey Results
The City eNews was born out of the City’s commitment to connect with the community and inform about City events, projects, people, and services. Much to our delight and since its launch in February 2017, the newsletter has received above industry average readership growth and engagement. This is a testament to the El Segundo community’s level of engagement and participation. Did you also know that since we launched the newsletter’s blog platform on WordPress Engine, we have acquired 48,000 pageviews, 39,000 of which are unique pageviews and received visits from in 53 countries and 1,028 cities globally?
While we are pleased with the readership analytics performance, we wanted to learn what we can do better and how we may reach more folks. On March 14, 2018, we sent an email out to all of you who are on the distribution list of the City eNews. It contained a request to take an 8-question survey.
Thank YOU to those of you who participated! Much appreciated! As of April 12, 2018, we received 906 total responses. To view the results in dashboard format, please click here.
As you’ll find in the above link, what we discovered is that many of you are already happy and satisfied with the design and content of the newsletter. From your comments, we learned that we are already covering many of the topics that you wish to read about. There were also a number of helpful comments that let us know of additional topics you would like to see covered such as the Los Angeles World Airport also known as Los Angeles Airport (LAX), which we wrote about here or the City’s website, where we provided an update here. We were also pleasantly surprised to hear from you that the newsletter has encouraged you to meet a resident, attend an event, meet an employee, go to the library, visit our website, follow us on social media, and apply for a job at the City.
Thank you again for participating in our survey and for providing us with your input. We appreciate it. Although the survey is closed, please feel free to continue to provide us with feedback by emailing Mickie Tagle at MTagle@ElSegundo.org.
