Welcome Jesse Marin
We would like to introduce one of our newest probationary firefighters, Jesse Marin. Jesse was born and raised in SoCal. He comes to El Segundo Fire Department (ESFD) with extensive firefighting and EMS experience. Jesse also has a background in construction. Working with his father’s general contracting business for many years taught Jesse a myriad of on the job trades. This combination of knowledge is invaluable in the Firefighter profession.
After graduating from high school, Jesse became interested in the Fire Service and soon began taking classes at Santa Ana College. Upon graduation from the Fire Academy, Jesse quickly became an auxiliary firefighter with Downey Fire Department. While working with Downey Fire, he became an ambulance operator and was able to provide patient care and deliver emergency medical services.
Now, as a full-time firefighter, Jesse is excited to put his extensive training and experience into his dream job. He states, “I am ready to serve the citizens of El Segundo and apply all the skills and knowledge that I have obtained throughout my life to this position. I have worked extremely hard for this opportunity and will cherish it forever.”
Jesse is currently assigned to Engine 32, “C” Platoon. We congratulate him on his new endeavor and welcome him to our ESFD family.
